"RIDE IN RHYTHM" Clinic was a huge success. Several different breeds and levels of riders attended. Everyone started to learn how to move with their horse and how to use their body position in the saddle to influence the direction and speed at which their horse would go. Weaving cones and guiding their horse thru a maze of ground poles was great fun.

The BASICS are the most important for developing a horse for any discipline. Many things are taught from the ground that will later be used when under saddle.
The round pen, ground driving and in hand exercises enhance the horse's ability to focus on the handler. It will also aid in conditioning the horse to have the emotional confidence with the physical balance and strength for performance under saddle.

This is Axel, a 5 yr. old Spanish Norman gelding, having fun at Kentucky Horse Park Memorial weekend, 2007. This is the same horse pictured on this page 1 year later. We had way too much fun with other Iberian horses during a special exhibition for the Parade of Breeds. This was his first time in full costume and being ridden infront of a crowd. Patient training to build confidence was rewarded with a bold demonstration and a willingness to please me. I just LOVE this horse!!!
